Expert Health Talks
The Australian Nutrition and Wellness Association invited two experts to deliver health and wellness talks during the event.
Dr. Reece Lim, an expert in cancer and diabetes medication research, provided an in-depth explanation of the connection between HPV and diseases such as cervical cancer, throat cancer, and anal cancer. She stressed the importance of prevention and underscored that the HPV vaccine is a critical tool for protecting the health of both men and women, as it can effectively reduce the risk of HPV-related cancers.
Dr. Shuly Lim, an authority in cancer genetics and personalized functional nutrition, highlighted the vital role of micronutrients in supporting immune health to help prevent cancers. She also addressed the need for lifestyle adjustments to minimize the harmful effects of xenoestrogens, which can decrease oxidative stress. Dr. Lim encouraged the public to maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and adopt healthy habits to promote overall well-being. Case studies and data analysis were used to further reinforce the significance of HPV vaccination.
Promoting Healthy Lifestyles
The event not only raised public awareness about HPV but also highlighted the importance of vaccination and preventive healthcare. It inspired attendees to focus on their health and take an active role in safeguarding their well-being.
Many families also brought their children to receive the HPV vaccine, contributing to building a healthier future. During the event, approximately 150 individuals received HPV vaccinations.
